Discovering The Inner Mother

Updated: Jan 3

I was quite excited to read this book but in all due honesty, I was super disappointed😒

It’s a little too woke for me😫

I feel as though the author still has a lot of healing to do. Healing needs balance, you can’t heal a part of you and neglect to work on other parts, that’s not how it works🤷🏻‍♀️.

In this book, the author has done a lot of work on her mother wound but obviously didn’t do the same for her father wound and therefore seems to have a lot of trauma when it comes to men which seems to push her towards what we now call toxic feminism…it’s not healthy👎

I understand how the patriarchy could have lead women to be submissive and become people pleasers but did it really have to be mentioned literally hundreds of time?🤨

There’s a lot of good points in the book that I have already worked on and learned so I didn’t really get anything new from it but I think that someone just starting the journey could have benefited from but due to the author being obviously focused on today’s narrative’s side, I can not recommend it…I feel as though it may confuse and misguide the people I am trying to guide towards healing👎

Therefore I am sorry to say that I do not recommend this book, it may do more harm than good🙅🏻‍♀️
